Jose Tiburcio is more than the founder of Caring Hearts with Helping Hands, he is its heart and its soul. Since he began this work in 1998 he continues to work tirelessly year round to help bring relief to families in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed, and in 2010 PepsiCo awarded Jose the Harvey Russell Chairman’s Award for 10 years of work and dedication to Caring Hearts with Helping Hands.
PepsiCo created The Harvey C. Russell Inclusion Award to recognize outstanding accomplishments of its employees who go above and beyond their traditional responsibilities to help advance PepsiCo’s vision of creating a diverse and inclusive environment. Harvey C. Russell was chosen as the namesake for this prestigious award, because his leadership, perseverance, and commitment to “raising the bar” are the foundation upon which PepsiCo’s diversity initiative is built. The Chairman’s Award is the highest honor at PepsiCo and is given in recognition to those individuals who have distinguished themselves as truly extraordinary and can serve as an inspiration to all. Jose’s tireless work for Caring Hearts exemplifies everything that the award represents, and his Caring Hearts family is very proud of him, and supports him in his on-going quest to bring hope to the less fortunate to help improve our world.
